My List of Good Things

on April 5, 2020

I have been waking up regularly every morning and sleeping well every night.

I am able to turn off the television when I don’t like what it says.

Although my cat resents my lack of attention to him he still hops up into my lap regularly.

I have ben receiving  large amounts of good food regularly every day and saved most of it for tomorrow

In my apartment my washing and drying machines are working. well and keeping me clothed and warm.

Since I have been told that I should no longer walk outside, I walk down the hall in my apartment several times a day.

I appreciate all messages from friends or enomies

Today my television has not reported the number of deaths in this country, but it has dome so every day previously.

Hang in there, Joanne! We are all stuck in our houses here, too. But it’s for the good of us all so I’m doing. I listen to music and try to do a little yoga to keep moving. And I’m reading along and following you. 🙂

Lots of love from Oregon and the Oregon Save Our Schools gang!

Joanne, it’s good to read your list of good things. Focusing on the things we are grateful for seems to help all of us get through this. And knowing we are all in it together. I also think about how fortunate we are to have all those medical people and food suppliers who are taking care of us. We’ve read about this kind of upheaval in history books, but not experienced it before.

I am sending you a link to a podcast produced in Colorado where we are living now. The two reporters share stories and ideas to help us get through this period. Perhaps you will enjoy it or find some food for thought.

Hi, Joanne! I am an Idahoan now, but thinking of you! Remember that old Latin phrase “ Non Iilitimus Carboundum “ (Sorry for the terrible spelling) which I think means “Don’t let the bastards grind you down!” I miss seeing and talking to you!,
